It is served by [[Capital Connect Trains]] services. == History == Meadowhill - Bristol Avenue station was opened by Transport Secretary Johnathan Newhamson on 23 April 1943 under the name Philman Street and was built as a terminus of the Docklands line primarily for deliveries of locally sourced marine products as well as passenger services. The station was renamed Bristol Avenue on 14 March 1961, and then Meadowhill - Bristol Avenue on 29 September that same year. Originally the station had a single island platform with enough space for unloading goods, however, due to the rising amount of passengers using the line, it was decided that the station should be redesigned with 6 new platforms (2 island, 2 side) in order to accommodate the many passengers using the line. In recent years, the amount of people using Meadowhill - Bristol Avenue has decreased significantly; the station was on multiple occasions considered for closure, but due to protest action it was kept open. The delivery trains were ceased in 1996 after the rising popularity of fish worldwide during the [["Exotic Explosion"]], but passenger services still continued serving the station. == Design and construction == The design of the station by L W Imberman & Co has been deemed an "architectural masterpiece" by many.
